THE Penang Immigration Department collected RM4.5mil from the 2,762 foreigners detained for various offences last year.
State director Hasbullah Abdul Rashid (pic) said the number of foreigners detained increased by 24.3% compared to 2013 that saw 2,019 foreign nationals rounded up.
