SELANGOR Wanita MCA successfully organised a cadre training at A’Famosa Resort in Malacca for its state committee members recently.
The training provided the participants a broader understanding of organisational work and enhanced their sense of belonging and passion in helping with the party’s works.
Its chief Ong Chong Swen said the members had actively dedicated themselves in various activities organised both at state and divisional levels in alignment with the party’s transformation plan.
The training was aimed at motivating more members to contribute in building up the party.
MCA president and Selangor chairman Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai’s keynote address on “Transformation for New Direction” gave the participants a further understanding on the party’s future direction.
Other speakers included MCA School of Political Studies principal Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, who shared her views on the present political situation.
Wanita MCA chairman Datuk Heng Seai Kie spoke about the roles of a Wanita member in MCA’s transformation plan.
Also present to share their thoughts and experiences were MCA deputy secretary-general Datuk Wee Jeck Seng, MCA Youth political education bureau chief Dr Wong Kok Fye and Dr Kam De Zheng.
Ong highlighted that besides being an avenue for leadership talent scouting, the two-day cadre training played a role in improving self-development qualities and strategy planning.
She encouraged all participants to actively promote the party’s programmes in their respective divisions after having better understanding of their roles at the training camp.
Ong added that enhancing the party’s bonds with local communities was of utmost importance.
