A MAN in a white truck which I believe belonged to the Ipoh Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA), dumped seven dogs in my neighbourhood in Chateau Garden, Ipoh, a few days ago.
When I came out of the house to take a photo of him, he quickly drove away. Unfortunately, I have also forgotten his number plate.
This is the third time I have witnessed such a thing happening here. The first two times was last year.
One of the dogs has been trying to get into my house whenever we open the gate. It sleeps outside my house and howls throughout the night. I believe this poor dog is pining for its owner.
Currently, there are about 15 dogs loitering about in the neighbourhood. Imagine the noise they make when howling in the night.
No one dares to take walks alone around the neighbourhood anymore for fear of being bitten by the stray dogs. I too have been bitten three times when out on my evening walks. Even being armed with an umbrella or a long stick does not help. In fact, the stick only aggravates the dogs.
AN IRATE RESIDENT,
