Students share on what they plan to do with the RM100 aid

STUDENTS of Penang Free School (PFS) were an elated bunch when they received their yearly school aid from the Federal Government.

Ivan Choong, 13, said he was happy to receive the aid and would save the money for his future education.

“I want to become a surgeon.

“It is good that I start saving up now,” he said after receiving the RM100 aid at the school hall on Monday.

M. Barathraj, 14, who aspires to become a robotic engineer, said he would use part of the money for his education and give the rest to his parents.

PFS principal Jalil Saad said the RM100 aid was given to 892 students from Forms One to Five in the school.

“They received the money in cash,” he said.

Also present to hand out the money were Jelutong Barisan Nasional division chairman Ng Fook On, Jelutong MCA chairman Chuah Chin Chuon and the division chairmen of other Barisan component parties.
