PARTYGOERS are in for a treat, as World-wide Platinum Records has brought in two multi-talented international bands, Fuse and Ovaload, to Soju Room in Penang.
Fuse is currently performing nightly until Feb 3 at the club in Penang Times Square, George Town.
Led by Colombian artiste Wilson Rogelio Novoa Cifuentes (pic), better known as Will, the vastly experienced band has been stirring up the crowds.
Will is also an actor, composer and producer, and dovetails well with fellow vocalist Jenny Wijaya, an Indonesian.
Also singing is Filipino beauty queen Airah Balmes while another Colombian, Fabio Jose Dita Palacious, is equally entertaining with his vocals or hot dance moves.
Seasoned Canadian drummer Joel Turpin, as well as Indonesian guitarist Bambang Widanarko, bassist Alip Saksono and keyboardist Ferry Widodo complete the band.
North American band Ovaload will take over the stage starting Feb 16, and is slated to perform nightly until mid-May.
The seven-piece group is fronted by Jamaican-born Canadian Oba Hyacienth and is adept at various genres.
Their upbeat performances eschew background vocals and sequences.
Instead, the musicians rely on their exceptional energy which has won them fans all over the world.
Others in the band are vocalists Tino Koufo-giannakis and Karelle Remillard, keyboardist Rob Neal Christian, guitarist Felipe Debastos, drummer Dany Lemire and bassist Richard Dailey.
Both Fuse and Ovaload’s segments start around 10pm every night.
Worldwide Platinum Records is a Penang-based independent recording label and artiste management company with both local and international acts in their stable.
It also runs the Soju chain of entertainment clubs.
