Wheeling them in: QI Staff helping residents of the Beautiful Gate Foundation For The Disabled into the cinema hall at Tropicana City Mall.

QI Malaysia played host to 25 residents of the Beautiful Gate Foundation for the disabled in SS2, Petaling Jaya with a special Christmas movie treat at Tropicana City Mall.

Residents of the home were taken by bus to the GSC Cinema at the mall to watch The Hobbit – The Battle of the Five Armies accompanied by 25 QI staff.

“The movie treat was a heart- warming experience for all of them as they had a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year.

“It was sheer joy to see the laughter and excitement from the home residents who thoroughly enjoyed the three-hour movie in the company of QI staff,” said Allen Low, the head of the home.

QI Malaysia chief executive officer Boey Kho said her company supported such events as they helped foster better relations between the disabled and the able-bodied.

She said the aim of the activity was to give an opportunity to the disabled to enjoy a day out.

Boey said Beautiful Gate was a great example of people striving for independence in their lives.

Through the efforts of our staff and QI Malaysia, we are committed to making a lasting and sustainable impact in the lives of the community.

“This is reflected in the many social programmes we undertake, including the many festivals we celebrate,” she added.
