Banking group keeps on giving


Much-needed supplies: Workers loading a MHS Aviation Bhd helicopter to send the supplies to areas that cannot be accessed by roads.

AmBank Group has continued its flood assistance programme by distributing food and essential items to 200 families in Taman Sireh, Kampung Sireh and Kampung Badang in Kota Baru, Kelantan.

The group was the first organisation to provide aid to victims displaced by the floods in these areas. Among the items given out were drinking water, clothes, toiletries, inner wear and blankets.

Leading the AmBank Group team were Group Corporate Communications and Marketing senior general manager Syed Anuar Syed Ali .

AmBank Group chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim had earlier announced a contribution of RM1mil to Kampung Pasir Era in Kuala Krai. Half of the sum was a personal contribution with the balance coming from the group.

The group also distributed food and essential items to 500 families in Kawasan Guchil Luar 7 and Kampung Pasir Era in Kuala Krai, Kelantan.

Popular artistes Datuk Ramli Sarip and Noh Salleh were also present to bring cheer to the residents there.

Syed Anuar will also lead a convoy of 20 vehicles loaded with food and essential items to organise cleaning activities in selected areas and also homes of AmBank Group staff.
