ENGLISH Premier League fans in Malaysia are in for a thrilling new season.

They now have the opportunity to not only catch match day games “live” in their very own homes, but also meet football legends, win limited-edition merchandise and be in the running to win a trip to watch a Premier League match in the United Kingdom via Coca-Cola Malaysia’s “Kickstart Your Football Dreams” Campaign from this month to October 2019, courtesy of Coca-Cola Malaysia’s partnership with Astro.

The campaign aims to harness the power of football to fuel passion and heighten appreciation for the game, especially among young Malaysians.

Through its partnership with Astro, Coca-Cola Malaysia will give away 5, 000 free one-month Astro Sports Pack passes to lucky participants.

At the end of the three-month campaign, six grand prize winners will gain the ultimate fan experience – a trip to the United Kingdom to watch their favourite Premier League football team play live.

To further fan the fever, 30, 000 limited-edition Coca-Cola Premier League merchandise such as jerseys, boot bags and more will be up for grabs. Fans will also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Premier League legends.

Coca-Cola is the global sponsor for the Premier League from 2019 to 2021 while Astro is the official Premier League broadcaster in Malaysia.

Present at the campaign launch was Coca-Cola Singapore and Malaysia integrated marketing communications director Lim Kean Yew and Astro sports business head Lee Choong Khay.

“As the official partner of the Premier League from 2019 to 2021, we are pleased to partner with Astro as we will be bringing new experiences that only Coca-Cola can offer to Malaysian football fans.

“The Premier League has a huge following here and like many sports, it transcends all barriers. That’s why the Kickstart Your Football Dreams campaign puts our football fans at the epicentre of all our activities.

“Throughout the next three months, the campaign will focus on refreshing the football spirit among fans, especially young Malaysians, and unite Malaysians through classified - confidential unbelievable moments as they get to experience Premier League live in action, ” said Kean Yew.

Choong Khay said: “We are excited to partner Coca-Cola to make this season the most exciting yet for football fans.

“Besides live coverage of all matches, there will be a new Premier League hub on connected set-up box and Astro GO where football fans can watch exclusive content such as match highlights, player compilations, goal of the week and other clips.

“We are also working with Coca-Cola to provide live notifications of goals and the latest updates on the league via Stadium Astro’s social media.”

During the Kickstart Your Football Dreams campaign period, Coca-Cola Malaysia will also be raising awareness of its wide range of beverage options, especially its lower or no-calorie beverages as well as those that carry the healthy choice logo.

“We know that football is more than a game. It has the power to bring everyone together.

“Recognising this and in line with this campaign, we will be promoting multiple brands within our portfolio throughout the campaign, offering our football fans a choice of drinks for every mood and taste.

“It is also part of our evolution towards becoming a total beverage company, giving Malaysians more of the drinks they are looking for, including lower and no-calorie options across a wide array of categories, ” added Kean Yew.

Since 1978, the Coca-Cola Company has helped millions of supporters get close to the action through partnerships worldwide. Coca-Cola is a long-term partner of the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship.
