Italian label Tod’s has never succumbed to logomania or flashy symbols to sell its products. This is why its first major exhibition in Asia was a showcase of understated luxury, says DZIREENA MAHADZIR who was in Hong Kong for the event.
IT all started in the 1970s with a driving shoe – extremely well-crafted, no doubt – but the story of how an Italian label went on to capture Hollywood, and the world, is certainly a tale that bears telling.
