Curly, long lashes

I AM a regular reader of your column and need some expert advice from you. I have long but straight eyelashes on my upper lids. How do I make them curly and apply mascara ? The area around my eyes also tend to get oily shortly after I apply eye make-up. How do I prevent this? And how does one put on false eyelashes? – Wai See

It’s great that you are already blessed with lovely, long lashes.
