CERTAIN celebrities knowingly or unknowingly become trendsetters. Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj’s unique dress sense is not a look for the faint-hearted. Only divas can, or should, pull their look off.
And while Victoria Beckham can’t quite decide how she wants to wear her hair, kudos should be given to the singer cum fashion designer for inspiring many with the bob and hair extensions.
Singer Gwen Stefani showed us it’s cool to wear luminous coloured bra under a white tank top, and Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker introduced us to the world of Manolo Blahnik and made quirky dressing trendy.
There’s also First Lady Michelle Obama who was “inducted” into the hall of fashion fame by way of being elegant and classic, and Rihanna’s post Chris Brown red hair has certainly stopped traffic.
Then there’s British singer-songwriter Adele who has been garnering a lot of hits - the chart-topping kind - and also on the Internet for her 60’s inspired look.
The 23-year-old’s voluminous hair and winged tip eyes adorned with false lashes is fast becoming a style copied by many.
Recreating the look isn’t very difficult, according to the tutorials found on YouTube.com, and by makeup and hair gurus Clove sought help from for this makeover.
MAC senior artist Haritha Shan says the key to achieving the Adele look is to nail the 60s winged-tip eye make up, and it’ll become easier to achieve with practice.
The only challenge is possibly getting the angle of the wing tip balanced for both eyes and putting on the falsies on your own.
