The traditional art of batik has evolved to make its presence felt in homes across the globe.
Batik has been lovingly and patiently created by artisans for centuries. Due to its tedious and expensive process, batik became a rapidly vanishing craft in the country, until Tun Endon Mahmood (late wife of former premier Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) decided to revive it through the Jendela Batik company in 2001.
