This makes her the second African woman and ninth black woman to appear on the fashion bible’s cover. Looking radiant in a sleeveless purple, black and red patterned dress, a smiling Nyong’o, 31, is accompanied by the caption “Lupita Nyong’o: Her Incredible Breakout Year”.
