Family time

IF the world were to end, would I spend my last day eating? Yeah, absolutely. I pulled that world-ending card on my mother when I was 12. Someone had given me a religious booklet detailing how the world will be under so many feet of blood or something gory like that, and all sinners will die.

I think that tale was supposed to scare impressionable children onto the path of repentance and salvation. But I was more worried about not living my life fully before I had time to grow up ... and that, of course, included food.
