The off-pitch truth

FOR those who don’t know, Akademi Fantasia is Malaysia’s most popular reality talent show. Those in the know will understand when I say that at times the singing on the show is just horrendous.

I’m talking especially about the participants’ attempts at performing the theme song as a group, probably because it involves a high degree of coordination between feet, arms, vocal chords and those 12 muscles that one needs to smile.
