The movie’s full trailer is set to premiere later today.
Tom Cruise seems a little battered and bruised in this TV spot for Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation but he still looks great for a guy who’s more than half a century old, especially when he’s kicking butt.
In the 1:04-minute clip, Ethan Hunt (Cruise) is constantly on the run from a group of bad people known as the “Syndicate” or the “anti-IMF”, as Simon Pegg’s character Benji bluntly explains.
Alec Baldwin appears for a few seconds, but we’re not sure which character he plays. Actress Rebecca Ferguson is the “girl” in the movie, although thankfully, her character does seem to do more than just look pretty for the camera.
There’s not much information you can get from the clip, but the full trailer is set to premiere on March 23 in the US (March 24/tomorrow in Malaysia) so we would probably know more then.
The movie is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who worked with Cruise on Jack Reacher in 2012.
Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation is set to open in Malaysia on July 30.
