The Japanese rock star makes his acting debut in Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken

In Japan, rock star Miyavi earned the nickname Samurai Guitarist for his unique guitar-slapping skills. In Unbroken – in which he makes his acting debut playing a Japanese soldier during World War II – Miyavi gets another nickname, The Bird. In an interview with him in New York City, the 33-year-old talks about his role and his acting experience.
