The star of the Twilight films becomes a bike messenger looking for a bit of extra cash in this upcoming heist film.
A chance collision with roof runner Nikki (Marie Avgeropoulos, TV series The 100, Cult) grants entry to a new social circle for money-hungry courier Cam (Taylor Lautner).
But as he soon discovers, this group of fear-defying friends are secretly putting their athletic skills to use as swift and daring armed robbers – something that Cam doesn't feel altogether comfortable with.
Tracers is the third feature film directed by Daniel Benmayor, after Gaudi Award winners in the Spanish action duo Bruc, The Manhunt and Paintball.
For Lautner, it's another leading role post-Breaking Dawn, having starred in family drama Run The Tide, action thriller Abduction and, currently, the second season of British TV sitcom Cuckoo.
Also appearing are Adam Rayner (Fox TV series Tyrant) and Rafi Gavron (Dwayne Johnson vehicle Snitch).
Tracers is expected to premiere March 20 through Lionsgate in North American cinemas and on demand, with distribution in South East Asia and Europe anticipated from January. — AFP Relaxnews
