Deanna Yusoff has been cast in the leading role in 1965, a movie commemorating Singapore’s 50 years of independence. She plays a single mother opposite China-born actor Qi Yuwu who plays a police inspector in the film that is slated for release next year, to mark Singapore’s 50th birthday.
