Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age and Dave Grohl are among the new additions to the performers’ list.
Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age, Dave Grohl, Gary Clark Jr, Hunter Hayes and Lindsey Buckingham will perform at the 56th annual Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy announced recently.
Grohl and Buckingham will join Nine Inch Nails and Queens Of The Stone Age on stage as part of the show’s grand finale.
The first presenters announced include Marc Anthony, Black Sabbath, Zac Brown, Gloria Estefan, Anna Faris, Jamie Foxx, Ariana Grande, Neil Patrick Harris, Olivia Harrison, Anna Kendrick, Alicia Keys, Juanes, Cyndi Lauper, Jared Leto, Bruno Mars, Martina McBride, Miguel, Yoko Ono, Smokey Robinson, Ryan Seacrest, and Steven Tyler.
Sunday’s show at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles will be the first Grammys performance for Gary Clark Jr, Nine Inch Nails and Queens Of The Stone Age, all of whom are nominated for awards this year.
Clark Jr is up for Best Rock Song for Ain’t Messin’ Round and Best Traditional R&B Performance for Please Come Home. Queens Of The Stone Age have nods for Best Rock Performance for My God Is The Sun and Best Rock Album for ...Like Clockwork. Nine Inch Nails, a band led by Oscar-winning Social Network composer Trent Reznor, are nominated for Best Alternative Music Album for Hesitation Marks.
Previously announced performers include Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, John Legend, and Keith Urban, plus former Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr – both of which will receive the 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Sara Bareilles and Carole King are also scheduled to perform a special duet on “music’s biggest night”. LL Cool J returns to host for a third time in a row. — Reuters
