To show that the ambitious climate plan is backed by action, the city administration has set targets for its own operations and those of its suppliers.

Through retrofitting of old buildings (such as better insulation and energy-efficient fittings) and new building standards, it hopes to slash energy consumption of municipal buildings by 40% (the council owns 5% of the total building space in the city). It will also install 60,000 sq m of solar panels.
