It's a 5am start for people heading out on the bird watching tour but time and again Thomas Griesohn-Pflieger is amazed by how many show up regardless, eager to hear a new kind of birdsong.
Griesohn-Pflieger co-founded Birdingtours, a German provider specialising in bird watching trips and excursions. Participants start with two hours of hiking, followed by breakfast at a hotel, before they even get near the birds.
