Solo travellers can meet like-minded people and make new friends with special Singles Day deals offered by Insight Vacations. — Insight Vacations

Insight Vacations is offering attractive deals for travellers on Nov 11, known as Singles Day in some parts of the world.

Singles Day deals and waiver of solo supplements on selected trips are offered. They include savings of 11% for bookings made on Nov 11 and saving an extra RM333 when booking from Nov 8 to 18.

Ten percent of the trips by Insight Vacations offer low or no single supplement. Here are a few of them:

Wonders of Turkey (Feb 6 to March 5)

This 11-day journey through Turkey waives the single supplement. Highlights include the white terraces and pools of Pamukkale, battlefields of Gallipoli, legendary city of Troy, and rock-hewn churches of Goreme. You will also explore ancients sites in Ephesus, underground caves in Cappadocia, and learn about traditional Turkish pottery-making in Avanos, besides exploring famous mosques and bazaars in Istanbul and modern-day capital Ankara.

Italian Intermezzo (Jan 5)

There is no single supplement for this eight-day trip from Milan which takes you through the cities of Venice, Rome and Florence. Highlights include VIP entry into the Vatican Museums where you can see the Papal art collection, enter the Sistine Chapel and access the Bramante Staircase (which is not open to the general public). There is also a dinner with private performance of popular songs and arias from some of Italy's best-loved operas.

Best of Spain & Portugal (March 14)

Offering 30% savings from the single supplement, this 15-day trip showcases iconic sights like Granada's royal palace of Alhambra, Barcelona’s La Sagrada Família, Madrid's Prado Museum, the Andalusian capital of Seville and Cordoba's Mezquita, Lisbon’s Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery, Fatima’s famed Catholic shrine. Highlights include meeting the local chef of a family-run restaurant and learning how to make paella from a traditional recipe in Valencia; visiting Almazara, the oldest olive grove in the Torremolinos region to learn how olive oil is produced; and Cava tasting in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, where you can learn more about Spain's sparkling wine.

New for summer 2020 is an exclusive Insight Experience in Spain – a visit to the Cristina Heeren Foundation in Seville, a private flamenco school and beneficiary of a TreadRight Foundation grant which provides scholarships to deserving students. This is to ensure that the flamenco tradition lives on in the local community and continues to create opportunities for generations to come. You will get to participate in a dance class and have front row seats to watch a flamenco performance.
