Being the homeland of K-pop, it’s no secret that South Korea is one of the hottest concert destinations today. From BTS to Blackpink, there’s no shortage of glitzy performances in the country. Malaysia will get a taste of the concert craze this month.

On July 28, the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) will be organising the K-Performance Show 2019 at the Plenary Hall in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event will feature four special acts: The Painters, Sachoom X EDM, Jump, T-Birds and Vixx’s Leo.

This showcase will allow visitors to have a taste of South Korea’s pantheon of great performers and spectacular performances. At the same time, KTO would like to expose Malaysians to other genres of music in the republic.

Recently featured on Asia’s Got Talent, The Painters stages the entire process of painting combined with incredible visual effects and a witty blend of mime, dance and comedy.

Jump tells the story of a band of thieves who decide to break into a house. What the thieves don’t realise is that the house is home to a family of martial artists! Meanwhile, Sachoom is a heartfelt coming-of-age story told through the language of dance.

Ardent fans of K-pop might be familiar with T-Birds and Vixx Leo. The former is a five-member project boy group that debuted this year with the single Rock Star.

As for Leo, he is an accomplished member of the popular boy group Vixx.
