AirAsia will be flying from one historic city to another with its new Penang-Melaka route, starting July 1. The direct flight is set to boost tourist arrivals into Melaka, helping to support the state government’s target of attracting 20 million visitors this year.
“This new route further strengthens our tourism footprint in Malaysia, providing more options for international visitors to travel between states of Penang and Melaka,” said AirAsia Malaysia chief executive officer Riad Asmat.
