From far back in the annals of history, man has always looked to the seas for adventure. So following this natural drive, I found myself on the Supership Catherine sailing along the rivers Rhone and Saone over eight days.
The luxury ship is elegantly dressed in gorgeous Murano glass, original artworks by Picasso and Kandinsky, and plush seats as well as luscious drapery. But perhaps the most appealing of all are the 58 staff members who have achieved the fine balance between professionalism and friendly warmth – that is always appreciated, especially by the lone traveller.
