Shifen Waterfall, located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City, is the most well-known cascading waterfall in Taiwan. While it is not the highest one on the island, it is the widest at 40m. Because of its horseshoe shape and powerful flow, it is nicknamed the Little Niagara of Taiwan. Sometimes a bright rainbow appears on sunny days, resulting in it being called Rainbow Pond. I do not know if it was the beauty of the land or the friendliness of the people or the mouth-watering delicacies, but Taiwan certainly inspired me to record my recent trip to that wonderful country in poetry.
