Say goodbye to sore necks and strained backs, as Singapore Airlines’ Premium Economy Class welcomes customers with a bespoke contemporary and stylish design, offering more space, comfort and convenience.
The new Premium Economy Class is available on its new Airbus A350, as well as progressively on its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.It is currently available to 25 destinations, which includes London, Sydney, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Johannesburg, New Delhi and San Francisco.
Apart from exceptionally comfortable seats, customers flying on premium economy class will get the full premium package with extensive in-flight cuisines, an exclusive amenity kit, superior in-flight entertainment, and even on-ground privileges.
SIA incorporated suggestions from its customers when designing the new cabin class in terms of seat and cabin design.
The seat pitch now measures 38 inches and a width ranging between 18.5 and 19.5 inches, with an eight-inch recline for greater comfort. Also included in the seats are individual in-seat power supply, two USB ports, personal in-seat reading light, cocktail table, and additional stowage space for personal items such as a water bottle and mobile device.
As for aesthetic touches, the seats feature soft furnishings such as a headrest cover, cushion and blanket which come in specially selected and matching colours, complete with full leather finishing, a calf-rest and a foot-bar.
Besides a standard menu with three meal choices, customers can select from the Premium Economy Book the Cook service featuring popular dishes, such as seafood thermidor, roasted chicken in garlic cream sauce, rosemary beef brisket, spiced chicken nasi biryani, nasilemak with fried chicken, and pancakes with maple syrup and scrambled eggs.
Ernest Rapeneau Brut Prestige champagne and a selection of curated wines are also available throughout the flight on all routes offering Premium Economy.
Exclusive amenity kit
To aid in comfort, customers will receive an amenity kit that comes in exclusive limited editions.This amenity kit – which consists of a toothbrush, toothpaste and a pair of anti-slip socks – is designed as a collectible item, and pouches can be clipped together.
A sleek 13.3-inch full HD monitor, the largest in its class, as well as active noise-cancelling headphones await customers travelling in the new cabin class.
Premium economy class will feature the next-generation KrisWorld – Singapore Airlines’ award-winning in-flight entertainment system, which hasan impressive selection of 1,000 entertainment options – movies, television programmes, music, games and apps.
On selected flights, customers can stay in touch with family, friends and colleagues with Internet connectivity, as well as text and multimedia messaging.
Premium economy class customers will also enjoy priority check-in and baggage handling, in addition to baggage allowance of 35kg. On top of that, KrisFlyer members will receive 10% more miles when flying in premium economy class.
