One of the best things about South Australia is its Mediterranean climate. Although summer can get so hot and dry that bushfires break out, winter is cool and wet, so the vegetation is lush from about June to August.

At the end of May, when our group was there, the weather was already chilly. It rained most of the days and the temperature dipped to 9°C on some nights – a refreshing change from our tropical weather.
