What first struck me about the property was how quiet it was, although located just behind the always-bustling Orchard Road. Yes that’s Orchard Road Singapore. So, the fact that there was surrounding greenery and you couldn’t even see the buildings on Orchard was a strong point with me.
That made Holiday Inn Express Orchard Road perfect, location-wise. A shortcut takes you on a 10-minute brisk walk to the Somerset MRT station. But one can also opt for the Orchard station which is just slightly further away. And all the shopping (Paragon, ION and Ngee Ann City are close by) and dining you want, a hop-step away.
