When the epic science fiction film that was John Cameron’s Avatar was released in 2009, I was captivated by the world of Pandora. Its pristine rainforests seemed as surrealistically breathtaking as they were unreachable. But, who knew the inspiration behind that special and magical place was very much of Earth!
