Plans to open a museum dedicated to the history of food and drink in Brooklyn are moving forward, with the opening of its first food lab which will explore the science behind artificial flavours.

After first debuting in 2013 as a travelling exhibit, showing how an explosive 20th century device helped invent breakfast cereal as we know it today, the brains behind the Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) will be opening their first brick-and-mortar exhibit in Brooklyn next month, as the MOFAD Lab.
