With three of the old continent's top five hotels, as rated by online travel agency eDreams, it seems the Iberian Peninsula holds all the cards.
The Spanish and Portuguese have earned the right to boast about their excellence when it comes to the hotel industry. Their first entry, in second position on the European charts, belongs to Lisbon's Hotel Marques de Pombal. The Hotel Bahia Santander, in the Spanish port city of Santander, is right on its heels in third position. Madrid's Hotel Wellington rounds out the Iberian trio while also earning top honours in the Best Service category, scoring 4.8 out of 5.
