Swiss luxury watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier has opened its salon in Sincere Fine Watches’ SHH boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

The foundation of Parmigiani Fleurier can be traced back to the passion of Michel Parmigiani who, at the age of 26, established the “Parmigiani Mesure et Art du Temps” a watchmaking workshop specialised in restoring various antique timepieces including music boxes, pocket watches, table clocks, and automatic chiming figurines.

His exceptional craftsmanship and unwavering dedication to restoring historical masterpieces earned him acclaim from prestigious collectors worldwide.

In 1996, with the support of the Famille Sandoz Foundation, he founded the Parmigiani Fleurier watch brand, marking the beginning of his journey into haute horlogerie.

Today, the maison benefits from an extensive network of companies managed and owned by the Sandoz Family Foundation, including case manufacturing, dial production, and movement manufacturing.

This comprehensive and integrated production line, encompassing design, research and development, manufacturing, assembly, and quality management, is a rare feat in the industry, showcasing the brand’s independent strength and full vertical specialisation.

In 2021, under the leadership of CEO Guido Terreni, Parmigiani Fleurier unveiled the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor that marked a pivotal moment in the brand’s history.

The Tonda PF represents a fresh and contemporary identity for Parmigiani Fleurier, perfectly aligned with the desires of modern luxury watch connoisseurs worldwide, so it quickly captured their admiration.

Embracing discreet luxury as a guiding principle, Terreni drew inspiration from Parmigiani Fleurier’s source code of ultra-minimalism to define the most distinctive features of the Tonda PF.

In conjunction with the opening of its new salon in Kuala Lumpur, the brand presented a never-before collection of rare and extraordinary pieces from the maison, including the new Tonda PF Hijri Perpetual Calendar.

A horological expression of the Tabular Islamic calendar developed by Muslim scholars and astronomers in the 8th century, the Tonda PF Hijri Perpetual Calendar is displayed in the elegant Kuala Lumpur space.

Terreni says, “Kuala Lumpur is a rapidly growing and an exciting market for luxury, and Parmigiani Fleurier watches are deeply appreciated by connoisseurs who seek impeccable quality in a discreet style of subtlety and sophistication that embodies the essence of our brand.

“A Parmigiani Fleurier timepiece is not a symbol of status but a confident expression of refined knowledge.

“The opening of the new salon in Sincere Fine Watches in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is a testament to Parmigiani Fleurier’s confidence in the Malaysian market and in our partner Sincere, a luxury watch retailer of exceptional reputation for 70 years.”

Sincere Watch Ltd CEO Ong Ban says, “The partnership between Parmigiani Fleurier and Sincere Fine Watches is of strategic importance for both brands.

“We share a common vision to offer the ultimate technical innovation and craftsmanship to the most discerning collectors. This is further enhanced by a new level of luxury experience at Sincere Fine Watches.”
