Who wore it best? The stunning homemade outfits created for the #MetGalaChallenge

By AGENCY

Those who took up the challenge demonstrated immense creativity in reproducing iconic outfits using objects, fabrics and other materials found lying around in their homes.

Planned for May 4 at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York, like so many other events, the 2020 Met Gala was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

To pay homage to the extravagant spectacle of this highlight of the fashion calendar, Vogue and actor Billy Porter (who has issued several fashion challenges before this) teamed up to launch the #MetGalaChallenge, which invited internet users to recreate with any means at hand their favourite outfits from the gala's previous years.
