Danielle Lauder has opened up about the upcoming launch of her new cosmetics line for Estee Lauder.

The actress – who also happens to be the great-grandaughter of Estee Lauder, the founder of the global beauty empire – announced back in August that she was getting involved with the family business and working on a makeup line for the company.

Now, as the January launch date approaches, she has opened up to WWD about what beauty fans can expect from her debut cosmetics collection.

Dubbed "Act IV", the seven-piece series references the thespian's love of the film industry and some of its most famous, glamorous faces.

The seven products will include a "Party Puff Starlucent Filtered Powder", a "Lip Duet Tint & Balm", a "Cinemattic Complexion Liquid" and a "Spotlight Highlighter".

"My inspiration was classic Hollywood icons like Veronica Lake or Brigitte Bardot, sitting at their vanities with beautiful pieces," Lauder told WWD of the collection, whose tagline is "Beauty that makes you the star."

Announcing the news about the collaboration back in August via Instagram, Lauder wrote: "I am so excited to officially announce my collaboration with @esteelauder on a limited edition makeup collection called ACT IV that comes out January 2020!! This has been such an incredible experience to create and I cannot wait to share it with you all! Get ready for your close up."

Act IV will launch in nine markets in January, ahead of the Hollywood awards season. – AFP Relaxnews
