After having perfected their tans on their summer breaks, models are headed back to the runways starting Sept 6 for the Spring/Summer 2020 shows starting with New York Fashion Week.
Besides stars like Kaia Gerber or Bella and Gigi Hadid, many models will be undertaking veritable marathons, running from show to show for nearly a month. Here are three upcoming models who are expected to be much sought-after during the fashion month. – AFP Relaxnews
The Unmissable Sora Choi
South Korean top model Sora Choi, a designer favourite for the last two seasons, will definitely be in the spotlight during the Spring/Summer 2020 fashion weeks. She appeared in some 30 shows during the ready-to-wear weeks in February and March, and was especially noticeable on the runways for Tory Burch, Coach, Burberry, Prada, Versace, Dior, Saint Laurent and Chloe.
The model, who will celebrate her 27th birthday the night before New York Fashion Week kicks off, repeated her performance during the haute couture shows last July, showing for Fendi, Valentino, Maison Margiela, Givenchy and Dior.
The Promising Tami Williams
An elongated silhouette, a piercing gaze, and a natural charisma. Tami Williams already has the makings of a supermodel. At only 21, the Jamaican model has already won over numerous designers, whether for the ready-to-wear or haute couture shows, even during the men's weeks.
She actually closed the men's show for Balmain last June, at an exceptional event organised in Paris's Jardin Des Plantes. Williams didn't stop there, shining on haute couture platforms for Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Azzaro, Dundas, and Redemption. It's fully expected that she will be omnipresent this September.
The Acclaimed Bente Oort
While she's not yet well-known to the public, fashion professionals have already noticed the Dutch beauty who got her start at Burberry and Prada in September 2017. Since then, the blonde with azure eyes has proven her abilities at Valentino, Moschino, Jil Sander, Kenzo, Miu Miu, Givenchy, Dior, Versace and Celine.
But it was actually the ad campaign for the French house led by Hedi Slimane in September 2018 that provoked the curiosity of the fashion world. Her rise is expected to continue at the upcoming fashion weeks, especially in Paris.
