For a lot of countries around the globe, summer is finally here. As thoughts turn to blissful days spent by the ocean, it seems the beauty industry is one step ahead. Here's a a look at some of the shimmery, colourful mermaid-esque makeup launches making waves this season.

Kylie Cosmetics

Kylie Jenner launched her brand Kylie Cosmetics' summer collection earlier this week, appropriately named Under the Sea. The series includes four new Shimmer Eye Glazes in beachy hues, including a striking aquamarine colourway that will get you dreaming of clear waters.


Tarte Cosmetics

Cruelty-free brand Tarte Cosmetics has added several products to its clean beauty SEA Collection, including three new vegan foil finger pocket palettes that feature two foil shadows and a glitter gel topper each. All the hues have been inspired by starry, beach nights and have been designed for application with the fingers, making them ideal for poolside touch-ups.



Chanel has introduced six new Chanel Le Vernis nail polish shades for summer, including this ravishing mermaid-like "Radiant Verde 723" hue, which comes with a shimmering, shell-like finish. The formula also includes bioceramics and ceramides to help strengthen the nails.

Becca's new Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - Collector's Edition comes in a glittery compact that brings about dreams of seashore shells. The highlighter comes in a flattering golden shade of "Champagne Pop" to boost your summer glow.


Stila Cosmetics

Iridescent hues and a pearly finish make for a mermaid-esque look with the new ‘Suede Shade Liquid Eye Shadow' from Stila Cosmetics in ‘Violet Velvet.'
