The fashion world gathered in Brooklyn, June 3, for the 2019 CFDA Fashion Awards.
One of the most prestigious ceremonies of the year, the awards recognize and celebrate all those in the fashion business – from models and designers to journalists – who have shaped the industry this year, or sometimes for several decades.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America revealed the 2019 winners' list at a suitably glamorous event. The American designer Brandon Maxwell was crowned Womenswear Designer Of The Year, while Rick Owens took Menswear Designer Of The Year.
Regulars at the event – and on the winners' list – Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen once again shone at the ceremony, where they received the Accessory Designer Of The Year award for their The Row brand. Expect to hear more about Emily Adams Bode in the coming months too, as the designer was named Emerging Designer of the Year.
