Omega has chosen its Seamaster to commemorate the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. Pictured here is the limited edition Planet Ocean timepiece.
Omega first served as official timekeeper of the 1936 Olympic Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. For that occasion, a single technician was sent with 27 stopwatches to time every second.
Ever since then, the watchmaker has continuously developed its technology for the role. It is timing the 2018 Winter Olympics, which kicks off today in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
