Romantic beauty was the name of the game at last year's Spring/Summer 2016 fashion shows, and now that the season is finally rolling around the look is coming into its own.
Lips are a key element to the trend, and luckily the year so far has been packed with new product releases that will keep your lipstick game suitably pretty and winsome.
Move over Kylie Jenner – big sister Kim Kardashian is wading into the lipstick game with celebrity beauty artist Charlotte Tilbury. The reality TV star is the inspiration behind the beauty magnate's latest Hot Lips shade, Kim KW.
Described as a "buttery caramel" hue, the pale pink nude shade has been designed to make lips look fuller and plumper. Launches June 27.
Kim has competition in the lipstick department though, from none other than the British royal tot Princess Charlotte. The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, was the inspiration behind Marc Jacobs Beauty's latest lipstick, titled simply Charlotte, which launched in London’s Harrods back in February.
The colour, "inspired by the deepest saturated pink tones of an English rose", is a feminine, romantic ruby tone.
Dolce & Gabbana
As part of its new floral-themed Rosa Look beauty collection, Dolce & Gabbana is expanding its first scented lipstick collection. Since the beginning of March, the Dolce Matte Lipstick has been available in a series of vivacious pink hues, including delicate pastel shades like Dolce Dolcezza and bolder fuchsia tones like Dolce Bacio.
French beauty authority Lancome has put a bold new spin on its iconic Juicy Tubes concept for Spring/Summer 2016 with the all-new Juicy Shaker. The cocktail-themed lip colour pays homage to the brand's classic 1946 lipstick The Shaker, while incorporating the latest beauty science to create a pigment-in-oil gloss that provides a dreamy light gloss.
Each colour in the range is lightly and individually scented with essential oils. The range launches in the US in May.
Cosmetics giant MAC has scored Caitlyn Jenner as the latest collaborator on the group's Viva Glam lipstick range. Jenner's lipstick, Finally Free, is a pretty, discreet, rosy nude hue. Set to launch in April, 100% of its sales proceeds will go to the MAC AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative. — AFP Relaxnews
