Living life to the fullest is all about taking risks. A new campaign from Montblanc is paying tribute to those who are always seeking to explore new horizons, push boundaries and challenge the status quo.

Created as an invitation to free-spirited individuals, it reflects their mindset of not just physically moving forward and exploring the world, but achieving that independent state-of-mind.


Named Meet The Modern Trailblazers, the campaign features actor Hugh Jackman in the ads. This happens to be Jackman's second campaign with the manufacturer of luxury writing instruments, watches, jewellery and leather goods.

Visuals released show Jackman on an airfield next to a helicopter as he sets off on his latest travels, wearing the Heritage Spirit Moonphase watch and carrying the Nightflight Traveler bag.

Both are from Montblanc’s latest range of products.

The campaign was shot on location in New York by leading fashion photographer and director Mikael Jansson, renowned for his technical prowess, emotionally charged images and his sense of adventure.

In a statement released to the press, Jackman says: “I spend a lot of time on the move, travelling from one place to another, across continents and time zones, often facing the unexpected.

“Life is certainly about exploration, experiencing new situations and challenges, thinking differently and occasionally going off the beaten track. With the right tools that deliver flawless performance, I am inspired to go even further.”

According to Montblanc, Jackman is not only a world traveller because of his profession but also an explorer in life, a true visionary who does things differently. He is said to be the perfect embodiment of the maison’s drive for innovation.

Also joining him as part of the campaign are Olympic badminton champion Lin Dan, leather craftsman Giacomo Bartalini, model David Genat and interior architect cum designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, amongst others.
