New ‘gossip’ for the French brand
ONE of Hollywood’s bright rising stars, the 26-year-old celebrity has been noticed for her style and beauty by L’Oreal Paris.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Blake Lively counts it an honour to join the line up of women who have represented the brand thus far.
“I grew up with the inspiration of their message, ‘We’re worth it.’ What an important value to instil in women. That beauty is rooted in confidence. That is key. That is why I’m so proud to be a L’Oreal Paris woman,” she said.
She has worked alongside directors Rebeca Miller, Ben Affleck and Oliver Stone in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, The Town and Savages, respectively. The actress became globally recognised after six successful seasons on the internationally renowned TV series, Gossip Girl.
Blake has also starred in film adaptations of the coming of age book series The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and is next set to star in the feature film Age of Adaline along with actress, Ellen Burstyn.
“Blake embodies all the modern codes of Hollywood glamour. She flashes a substantial swath of upper elegance and sensuality. She has become a beauty icon for a whole generation with her gorgeous gold-dipped hair, luminous gaze and drop-dead smile. Today, this strong, charismatic and definitely glowing actress is joining the L’Oréal Paris family. And we’re so proud to welcome her,” said Cyril Chapuy, President of L’Oréal Paris International.
Karl Lagerfeld handpicked her as the face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle Bag, and she is currently the Ambassador for Gucci’s Premiere fragrance.
As the new L’Oréal Paris’ spokesperson, Blake Lively joins the list of celebrities such as Julianne Moore, Freida Pinto, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Beyoncé Knowles, Lara Stone, Hugh Laurie, Laetitia Casta and Jane Fonda.
