She didn't think she would get breast cancer, now she's a true survivor

When she was 25, the last thing on Hiba Abdul Rahman’s mind was cancer. She didn’t know anybody who had breast cancer when she was diagnosed with it in February last year. Seemingly overnight, Hiba’s days revolved around her treatment. She underwent chemotherapy, a mastectomy, radiation therapy and herceptin treatment.

She had her left breast and lymph nodes removed, and now has a thin long scar across her chest.
