Iraq, Syria, France deadliest places for reporters in 2015

The Islamist attack on satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo made France the third deadliest country for journalists in 2015, just behind Syria and Iraq, media freedom organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said recently.

Sixty-seven journalists were killed globally last year, either targeted because of their work or dying while reporting, Paris-based RSF said in its annual report. Some 27 citizen (amateur) journalists and seven media workers were also killed.
