Lors Nimul is 32 years old. But with her hair tightly twisted into braids, and her pink cheeks dusted with freckles, she looks like a teenager. Her luminous face is unlined; when she smiles, it’s with the carefree innocence of a child. But this Cambodian woman hasn’t led a carefree life.
Thirteen years ago, while out collecting wood for a local farmer, she wandered down an unfamiliar road in Battambang Province, Cambodia. In a split second, the world shook on its axis: the ground beneath her feet cracked open, and a deafening roar exploded from the earth.
