It's been a long road for Bob Geldof, 63... the rock star, political activist and the humanitarian.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the punk-rock inspired Geldof was already socially conscious as the lead singer of the Boomtown Rats, scowling about inner-city tensions (Rat Trap) and brooding about a teenage girl who went on a shooting spree (I Don’t Like Mondays).
