Review: True Detective soundtrack

TV shows like Glee and Empire capitalise on their musical elements by releasing soundtracks featuring covers and originals that went on to climb the charts. It comes as a bit of a surprise that the dark, gritty HBO series True Detective has also jumped on the bandwagon.

Though the crime drama isn’t exactly a musical, the songs accompanying each episode has always been spot-on, as shown in this soundtrack comprising music from the show’s two seasons.
