Review: The Last Witch Hunter

Movies about witches have always had a very spotty track record in Hollywood (think Season Of The Witch, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Seventh Son). Usually than not, it is the independent horror scene that has had better luck with them especially with recent films The Witch and The Sisterhood Of Night.

Now The Last Witch Hunter arrives in its attempt to kick-start a new action franchise for Vin Diesel. At a reported budget of US$90mil (RM386mil), the film is surprisingly campy and geeky. Fortunately, in a good way.
