According to a survey carried out in 15 countries by momondo.fr, a travel metasearch engine, and contrary to popular belief, tourists of all nationalities have the same criteria for selecting a hotel. The sole exception are the Chinese.
When tourists set out to find the best hotel for their next holiday, almost all of them agree on the need to find the best price. Of course, certain nationalities prove thriftier than others for example, Norwegians are the most likely (68%) to search for the lowest rate. Americans (66%), Swedes (66%) and the Portuguese (66%) all listed ahead of the French, who though often tourist stereotyped as stingy only came in at 57%.
